The children harvested sunflowers from the garden this week! Some were over 5ft tall!
Students complete projects using The Scientific Method or the Engineering Design Process, document their work, and display their findings for the community. Students see themselves as scientists and engineers, and develop knowledge, skills, and confidence.
The Pincushion Community assembled to celebrate the Earth with student presentations. Students have been participating in lessons about seeds and trees. Every student will take home a Japanese Red Maple tree from Arbor Day Foundation to plant in their yard.
All students took part in the show; researching space, taking on roles, writing an original song and learning others, making props, and practicing together. This whole-school, integrated, collaborative effort resulted in a A Journey Through Space that everyone enjoyed.
